Reform UK has suspended two of its Leeds councillors, multiple sources have confirmed to The Exchange. They are David Dresser (Killingbeck and Seacroft), who is also chief whip for the local party, and Paula-Jane Thackray (Cross Gates and Whinmoor).
We were first informed of this yesterday by a sitting councillor, and since then, more councillors within the local authority have corroborated it. When we approached Dresser this morning, he did not deny that he had been suspended (Thackray did not respond). We gave Reform UK’s central press office several opportunities to respond; they have not done so.
